Sami Callihan kept his promiseand just like that, his in-ring career is over.

At TNA Emergence in Baltimore, Maryland, Callihan faced off against Mike Santana in a Baltimore Street Fight, a stipulation he personally added before the bell rang. The stakes were high, and the outcome was final: if Callihan lost, he would retire.

Despite putting everything into the brutal brawl, Callihan was defeated after Santana nailed him with Spin The Block. It looked like Callihan nearly escaped the three-count, but the referees hand hit the matand that was that. Callihan stayed true to his word. He left his boots in the ring and exited the squared circle for the final time.

Backstage, TNA talent greeted him with respect and appreciation. However, not everyone was thrilled. Eric Young crashed the moment and made it personal. Dont buy into the love of your peers, Young warned Callihan, before turning his attention to Joe Hendry. Everything in TNA thats going wrong right now is Hendrys fault. Hendry didnt back down, stepping up to Young as the tension mounted.

Despite the drama, Callihan walked away with his head high and support from many who worked beside him over the years. Callihan ends his career with 1,417 matches under his belt. He previously held the TNA World Championship and even had a brief run in WWE NXT as Solomon Crowe.
