What started as a strong win for Matt Cardona on the August 14 episode of Impact quickly turned into chaos and now its official. Cardona will face Mustafa Ali at TNAs Emergence event after a post-match ambush set the stage for a grudge match in Baltimore.
Cardona had just put away John Skylar when Jason Hotch and Mustafa Ali blindsided him. The beatdown escalated when Alis Secret Service enforcer planted Cardona with a crushing Tree Slam, leaving him laid out in the ring.
In a backstage segment later that night, the announcement was made: Cardona vs. Ali is happening live at Emergence.
The Emergence lineup is now stacked, with other bouts including:
