AJ Styles paid tribute to Eddie Guerro by coming out in a Low Rider for his match against Dominik Mysterio at SummerSlam. Interestingly enough, Dirty Dom actually had no idea Styles was going to do this.
While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Dominik Mysterio revealed that he had no idea AJ Styles was going to pay tribute to Eddie Guerrero at SummerSlam by arriving in a Low Rider and wearing Latino Heat-inspired gear.
Mysterio noted that Styles entrance and attire, including tights that closely matched what Eddie wore in 2005, came as a complete surprise to him and felt surreal. Dominik explained that his own mindset was to take what his father Rey Mysterio wore in 2005 and update it. He described it as putting the Dirty Dom spin on the look, wearing similar blue gear with his own flair.
The Intercontinental Champion saw it as a full-circle moment, going from Rey and Eddie in 2005 to himself in 2025, facing AJ Styles in a new chapter of the story.
Dominik Mysterio ended up defeating AJ Styles and successfully retaining the Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam. Its clear he made Eddie Guerrero proud with his performance and thats all that matters in the end.
