Blake Monroe is finally reactingat least indirectlyto the backlash she received after cutting a promo on NXT that many fans say crossed the line.
The segment, which aired during the July 29th episode of WWE NXT, saw Monroe body shaming Jordynne Grace using old photos and mocking her appearance while insisting Grace wasnt championship material.
The promo didnt sit well with viewers, who took to social media in droves to call it tasteless and mean-spirited. Critics were quick to point out that body shaming has no place in 2025, especially on national television.
A day after the episode aired, Monroe appeared to respond to the online outrage. One fan tweeted out a post in support of her, saying:
Monroe quote-posted the message and seemed to address the criticism head-on, writing:
While she didnt directly mention Jordynne Grace or the backlash, the timing and tone of her tweet made it clear shes aware of the heat coming her way.
The controversy stems from a promo in which Monroe attempted to humiliate Grace by flashing old images of her and questioning her legitimacy as a champion. The crowd reaction was mixed, but the online response was overwhelmingly negativemany saying WWE shouldve known better.
Whether WWE plans to pivot or double down on the storyline remains to be seen. For now, Blake Monroe seems unbotheredat least publiclyby the outrage.
