AEWs bread and butter is delivering incredibly violent bloodbaths for their fans, which has raised concerns among fans. In light of all this violence, Tony Khan has now addressed these concerns and whether TV partners have any issues.
While speaking on Q101, Tony Khan was asked about the violent style of matches in AEW, especially during high-profile bouts like Hangman Page vs. Jon Moxley at All In: Texas, and whether their television and pay-per-view partners ever have concerns about that level of brutality.
Khan explained that there has never been any pushback from the networks or pay-per-view providers. Everyone has been very supportive, and as long as AEW continues delivering great shows for the fans, the partners are happy.
Khan noted that pay-per-view events have no restrictions when it comes to violent or intense matches. On television, TBS and TNT have always backed AEWs hard-hitting style and brutal fights. He made it clear that these bloody matchups are a core part of what makes AEW stand out, and the networks have consistently supported that vision.
AEW has always gone all out with hardcore wrestling, and it doesnt look like they plan to slow down. In the end, Tony Khan chooses what the fans see, and that likely wont change anytime soon.
