Seth Rollins beat Roman Reigns and CM Punk to win at WrestleMania 41 after Paul Heyman betrayed Punk and Reigns, but it appears that wasnt the original plan.

During WWE Unreal, Triple H originally wanted CM Punk to win the WrestleMania main event in a triple threat match against Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. His plan was for Paul Heyman to act like he might betray Punk during the match, maybe still helping Roman.

But in the end, Punk would fight through it, beat either Roman or Seth, and come out looking strong. Triple H also said that while telling a story in a clear, logical way is good, sometimes it becomes too predictable. When that happens, its important to change things up so the audience stays interested.

Another writer didnt agree with Punk winning. They thought the ending would be better if Heyman turned on Punk and sided with Seth Rollins instead. That way, it would be revealed that Seth had been secretly controlling everything.

They felt this surprise twist would be more exciting and memorable. Breaking up Roman and Heymans long partnership on the biggest stage would make the moment even more powerful.

While CM Punk winning would have been nice, many fans feel Seth Rollins winning thanks to Paul Heyman was the right call since it set up more storylines for the future and thats all that matters in the end.

Which ending would you have preferredCM Punk overcoming the odds, or Seth Rollins masterminding a shocking Heyman betrayal? Sound off in the comments.
