Charlotte Flair won the Womens Royal Rumble match this year but the company had an absolutely ridiculous pitch for the ending that would have seen a completely different winner.
During WWE Unreal, one of the writers pitched an over-the-top idea for the Womens Royal Rumble during a meeting. The concept was that entrant 29 would be in the ring, followed by number 30 entering while only two women remained.
Those two would eliminate each other at the same time, leaving number 30 as the automatic winner. In this scenario Chelsea Green would casually walk down the ramp, stretch out her arms in celebration, and win the Royal Rumble without having to do anything.
In the end, Charlotte Flair won the Royal Rumble, but WWE Unreal shows that behind the scenes, there are always wild and unexpected ideas being considered. From last-minute changes to dropped plans like Chelsea Greens easy win, fans really wonder how it would have played out if this ridiculous ending actually happened.
