Scottie Scheffler thrilled the public with his Open Championship win, but he also drew a barrage of laughter from the public after he passed a wind down the microphone.

Although some were skeptical whether it was Scheffler or a fan, the popular golfer admitted that it was him.

Andrew Cotter and Ken Brown couldn't hide their laughter after it, and their comments further drew laughter from fans.

"There's so much to say about that shot," said Cotter.

"The sound off the club face, extraordinary... let's stick to the golf."

Brown said: "Just a little bit of wind from behind, just helped it ease down the green."

The popular golfer is equally aware that cameras and microphones are everywhere around him, but Scottie has always been a person who didn't care too much about it, primarily focused on his game.

"Yeah, that was me. Oh, yeah. It was me," - he said.

"Youre out there for like six hours.

Youre eating some different food over there. Some stuffs gonna happen. You never know when the boom mics there. You never know what theyre gonna pick up.

Im definitely surprised it hasnt happened more in the past, picking up stuff like that."
