AEW is throwing tag teams into the fire with a brand-new tournament that kicked off on the July 23 episode of Dynamite. The World Tag Team Title Eliminator Tournament was officially announced, and the stakes are sky-highbecause the winners will get a title shot at Forbidden Door: London on August 24.
So far, only one first-round matchup has been revealed: FTR vs. JetSpeed. That bout is set to go down immediately, giving fans a preview of what kind of chaos this bracket is about to unleash.
The official graphic for the bracket aired during Dynamite, showing multiple quarterfinal slots still to be filled. AEW isnt rushing out the details just yet, but one thing is certainwhoever claws their way to the top will be earning their tag title shot the hard way.
Expect some stiff competition, big surprises, and maybe even a few international shakeups along the way.
