On July 23, 2025, the WWE Hall of Famer took to Instagram with an apology to the Atlanta Comic Convention for his absence, revealing a gnarly stitched wound above his eye as the reason for missing the event.
Flair posted the selfie along with a message directed to the convention, writing: @atlcomicconvention, Im sorry I missed you, but now you know why! Moving forward with @fitermansports, it wont happen again!
The stitched wound appears to be the result of a recent procedurepossibly linked to the surgery he previously underwent as part of his skin cancer treatment. Thankfully, just days prior, the Nature Boy had confirmed he is officially cancer-free, sharing another message: Thank you Academic Alliance In Dermatology! Im now cancer free! WOOOOO!
Flair had previously said he had one last procedure remaining, and this latest update likely shows the final step in that process. If thats the case, then this visual isnt just an injuryits a symbol of victory.
