Khan noted that it grabs attention and gives people a reason to tune in, especially when theres something exciting planned. According to Khan, these day-of announcements usually get the most engagement on social media and do really well in getting fans interested.
Some fans like the surprise of last-minute match announcements, but others think AEW doesnt give enough time to build up the matches. Even then, Tony Khan has made it clear he will continue to announce matches on the day of shows and thats not going to change anytime soon.
