WWE might be pulling the plug on a planned singles match between Roman Reigns and Bron Breakker at SummerSlamand replacing it with a tag match to avoid some tough decisions.
On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer broke down why WWE may shift to a tag bout featuring Reigns and Jey Uso vs. Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. According to Meltzer, its all about protecting top stars without having to book an unwanted loss.
The core issue? WWE doesnt want to pin either Reigns or Breakker right now, but a tag match gives them a clean outby having Bronson Reed take the fall.
Its a strategic pivot that would allow all parties to stay strong without compromising the bigger picture. With SummerSlam around the corner, WWE appears to be adjusting its card on the fly to protect future momentum for Breakker and Reigns.
