The woman who checked on Dominik Mysterio during this weeks WWE RAW wasnt just any ringside medicshes independent wrestling standout Alex Gracia.
During the July 21 episode of RAW, Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez defended the WWE Womens Tag Team Titles against Bayley and Lyra Valkyria. Midway through the action, Rodriguez accidentally laid out Dominik Mysterio with a vicious big boot to the face. The Judgement Day member collapsed to the groundand thats when a female medical staffer appeared onscreen to assess the situation.
Turns out that woman was Alex Gracia, a well-known name in the indie circuit. Gracia has wrestled in AEW, TNA, Ring of Honor, SHIMMER, NWA, and Booker Ts Reality of Wrestling. Shes been grinding since 2018 and has gained attention for her standout in-ring presence.
The segment didnt end thereAJ Styles soon appeared disguised as a fellow medic, blindsided Dominik, and continued the beatdown all the way backstage. The brawl set up a match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam between Mysterio and Styles.
Gracias role was brief but didnt go unnoticed. Her WWE cameo sparked interest online, especially given her wrestling background. With her resume, its easy to see why fans are already speculating about her future with the company.
Alex Gracia may have played a medic on RAW, but her real story could just be getting started in WWE.
