Bryan Danielson might still be listed as a consultant in AEW, but hes making it clearhis role isnt as hands-on as it used to be.
During his Starrcast conversation, Danielson addressed his current status in the company and didnt hold back on his honest view of the creative process and locker room dynamic.
He explained that while hes still technically involved, AEWs creative direction has been largely independent of his input in recent months.
Danielson added that hes never been afraid to critique wrestling storytellingwhether in WWE or AEWand referenced something he even wrote in his autobiography published by WWE.
Even so, he praised AEWs current team for the quality of recent programming and the environment backstage.
Then, without skipping a beat, Danielson cracked a smile and got real:

Bryan Danielson is still watching the product, still offering wisdom where neededbut hes also comfortable stepping back and letting the next generation steer the ship. And in true Danielson fashion, he does it all with honesty, humor, and just a little bit of humility.
