UFC legend Daniel Cormier has now explained why he never fought Brock Lesnar inside the octagon.

While speaking to Demetrious Johnson, Daniel Cormier explained why the highly anticipated fight between him and Brock Lesnar never happened. According to him, Lesnar was actually ready to make the move, but WWE ended up paying him more money to stay.

At one point, it could have been Cormier vs. Lesnar when Cormier fought Derrick Lewis in New York. However, WWE offered the Beast Incarnate so much money that he chose to stay with the company. From Lesnars perspective, it made sense since he could earn a lot of money performing limited moves like suplexes in WWE.

On the other hand, fighting Cormier in the octagon would have been a real fight where hed try to kill Lesnar. Cormier believes Brock made the right choice in the end.

When asked if a potential match could still happen in WWE someday, Cormier shut down the idea by revealing that Brock Lesnar is currently on the TKO ban list. He added that Brock got into a lot of trouble and even tried to hold him up at one point.

WWE has kept Brock Lesnar off television until the legal issues are fully resolved after he was named in Janel Grants lawsuit against Vince McMahonand others last year. Regardless, fans feel its a shame Lesnar and Cormier didnt face each other despite their 2018 confrontation and theyll have to accept itll never happen.
