Karrion Kross may be getting more screen time on WWE SmackDown, but hes still feeling boxed in creatively.
During a revealing interview with 10 Count Media, the former NXT Champion opened up about WWEs unclear vision for his characterand how many of his most twisted ideas never made it past the pitch phase.
While the crowd support is growing and hes being featured more prominently alongside Scarlett, Kross admitted that hes unsure of how WWE wants to present him in the long run.
According to Kross, hes repeatedly pitched dark, villainous, even terrifying heel angles over the past three yearsbut theyve all been rejected.
Despite the setbacks, hes playing ballthough its not the version of his character he truly wants fans to see.
Kross also teased that some of his unused ideas were so dark and twisted, theyll end up in a book someday.
And now, with his darker pitches off the table, Kross says hes had to pivot toward simply entertaining fans.
As previously reported, Scarletts WWE deal is tied directly to Krossmeaning when his contract is up, hers is too. But based on his continued TV push, new merch, and PLE appearances, signs suggest WWE wants to keep both of them around. Still, whether theyll let Kross unleash his full potential remains to be seen.
Karrion Kross clearly has a vision that WWE wont let him showat least not yet. But if the company ever green-lights what hes been holding back, fans might finally get to see the monster hes been waiting to unleash.
