Sauce Gardner and the New York Jets have agreed to a four-year, $120.4 extension, making him the NFL's highest-paid cornerback, sources told ESPN.
The contract includes $60 million guaranteed, sources told ESPN.
The deal makes Gardner, picked fourth overall in the 2022 draft, the NFL's highest-paid cornerback with the $30.1 million average just ahead of Houston Texans cornerback Derek Stingley, whose deal averages $30 million. Stingley was picked with the third pick in the 2022 draft.
"I appreciate the Jets organization for believing in me, my teammates for the blood, sweat, & tears we put in, and JETS NATION... I appreciate y'all supporting me ... Thank you GOD," he posted.
The deal comes a day after the Jets agreed to a four-year, $130 million extension with wide receiver Garrett Wilson, who was also selected 10th overall in the 2022 draft. Both Wilson and Gardner are now under contract through the 2030 season.
