TheJuly 12 edition of Saturday Nights Main Eventwent down at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. Goldberg was on hand for his final made, and he also got to say goodbye.
After his final match, Goldberg had some people to thank. WWE went to commercial break in a hurry after the match, but they returned from break to show the WWE Hall of Famer in the ring with some very close friends and family.
Goldberg thanked everyone for their support. He also thanked the city of Atlanta. He said he wouldnt have been able to do this without their support throughout the years. It was a very emotional moment as he said goodbye.
Only time will tell what Goldberg does next in his career. He is done in the ring, so that opens the door for a lot of other things. Hes also made plenty of money in his life, so he doesnt really need to work at all at this point.
Goldberg ending his career does close a big book in history. Nobody will every rack up the undefeated streak like he did, but he is also the product of a very interesting period of pro wrestling history, one that needed a guy just like him.
