Adam Cole just delivered one of the hardest promos of his careerand maybe his last.
Before the TNT Championship four-way match at AEW All In: Texas, Cole made an unannounced appearance to speak directly to the fans. After already being forced to vacate the TNT Title due to medical concerns, Cole took it a step further and admitted he may not return to the ring at all.Standing alone in front of a packed Globe Life Field, Cole told the crowd:
The former champion didnt go into detail about the nature of his condition but made it clear that this wasnt an easy thing to say. Cole appeared emotional as he addressed the audience, adding an air of uncertainty to what could be his last in-ring segment for the foreseeable future.
After the heartfelt speech, Cole was joined by his Paragon stablemates for one final pose with fans. It felt more like a farewell than a standard absence, though Cole never officially used the word retirement.
