WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus isnt sugarcoating her feelings about the buildup to her WWE Evolution match against Tiffany Strattonand shes being brutally honest about how thrown together the event feels overall.
Stratus is set to challenge Stratton for the WWE Womens Championship at Evolution 2 on July 13th at State Farm Arena in Atlanta. During an appearance on Notsam Wrestling, Trish opened up about how quickly the event came together, saying she understands the chaos given WWEs current packed schedule.
Despite the rush, Trish pointed out theres at least a natural story going into her match with Stratton thanks to their similar backgrounds in wrestlingand the Tiffy Time vs. Trishy Time social media moments that caught fire.
She reflected on how both of them were underestimated early in their careers and had to over-deliver in the ring to prove their worth. That underdog arc is something Trish believes ties their careers together.
Still, Trish admitted she wishes the build was stronger and criticized a recent SmackDown segment featuring her, Stratton, and Jade Cargill for lacking energy.
Stratus compared this to her feuds with Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair, both of which also had rushed buildups. In Beckys case, Trish hinted that the program may have suffered due to repetitive promo time that ate into their momentum.
Regardless of the timeline, Trish emphasized that what truly matters is the match itselfbecause thats where she can take control and deliver something unforgettable.
Trish knows how to turn pressure into performance, and even with a rushed lead-up, shes promising fans will get a show worth remembering.
