WWE is setting up a new SummerSlam storyline, and it looks like Logan Paul is in the mix.
According to an update from PWInsider, Logan Paul is now expected to be involved in a program with Jelly Roll heading into SummerSlam 2025. While no further details were provided, the pairing could potentially lead to a tag team match, especially considering Jelly Rolls inexperience in the ring.
Jelly Roll is still slated to appear on the July 11 episode of SmackDown to kick off the angle leading into SummerSlam weekend. A prior report stated hed align with a top babyface, though Cody Rhodes was specifically ruled out.
This would mark a new chapter in Jelly Rolls WWE involvement. Last year at SummerSlam 2024, he performed America The Beautiful and Liar, before getting physicalsmashing chairs over Grayson Waller and Austin Theory and teaming with The Awesome Truth for a surprise moment that left fans stunned.
Since then, Jelly Roll has reportedly started training to prepare for an in-ring debut, something he had been hinting at publicly for months. Hes spoken about wanting to step into the squared circle and had even begun dropping weight for the opportunity.
WWE officials were said to be pleased with his previous appearance, which likely helped open the door for this new storyline.
SummerSlam 2025 is scheduled for August 2 and 3 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Ringside News will have full coverage of the entire weekend matches, segments, surprises and more.
With Logan Paul now in the picture, WWE clearly sees big potential in this crossover effort. All eyes will be on SmackDown this Friday to see how it begins.
