Drew McIntyre didnt hold back when the conversation shifted from John Cena to Cody Rhodes. After completely dismissing Cena as a viable opponent, McIntyre turned his attention to the Undisputed WWE Championand while he gave Rhodes credit, it came with a loaded caveat.
While speaking with Sports Illustrated, McIntyre acknowledged that Rhodes earned his position in WWE, but added that Cody wasnt always the real deal. In fact, according to McIntyre, Rhodes had to bluff his way to the top at first.
Despite that jab, McIntyre admitted that Rhodes now walks the walk, calling his work ethic and commitment legit.
But Drew made it clear: just because Rhodes is at the top now doesnt mean hes staying there.
McIntyre continues to build his narrative as WWEs most dangerous threat, aiming directly at Rhodes while calling out the insecurities he believes lie beneath Codys polished exterior. Its not just about winning a titleits about taking a throne McIntyre says was never fully earned in the first place.
