Some SPPTTY kids bikes recalled because of high lead levels

Published July 10, 2025

WASHINGTON (BRAIN) About 200 SPPTTY kids bikes sold at Walmart are being recalled because of a risk of death or injury from lead poisoning. The recall involves the 14- and 18-inch models that have multiple components containing lead levels exceeding the federal lead content ban. No incidents have been reported.

The recalled bikes are pink with brown seat covers, brown handlebars, brown pedals and brown baskets.. The brand "SPPTTY" and "New Sport Bike" are printed on the downtube.

Consumers should stop using the recalled bikes and contact Shenzhen Yihuachuang Technology for a full refund. To receive a refund, the bikes should be disassembled and photographed, with the image emailed to [email protected]. After submitting proof of destruction, consumers should dispose of the recalled bike.

The bikes were sold at Walmart.com from August 2024 through December 2024 for about $85.
