Masha Slamovich is headed back to WWE NXT but this time, shes bringing the TNA Knockouts World Championship with her.
According to PWInsider, Slamovich will return to NXT television in the lead-up to a major Title vs. Title showdown at TNAs Slammiversary pay-per-view on July 20.
This isnt her first time on WWE programming. The move is part of the ongoing working relationship between WWE and TNA Wrestling a crossover thats already seen Trick Williams win and defend the TNA World Championship on WWE TV.
Slamovich is scheduled to appear at this Saturdays NXT Great American Bash, where shell promote her upcoming match at Slammiversary.
The stakes? Massive. Slamovich will defend her TNA Knockouts World Title against the winner of the NXT Womens Championship match between Jacy Jayne and Jordynne Grace which goes down this weekend at WWE Evolution. If Grace wins, shell head into Slammiversary as a WWE-contracted star holding the NXT Womens Title, looking to take home TNAs top prize for herself. That would mark the first time in modern history a WWE champion walks into a TNA ring to fight for gold.
This isnt just a cool storyline its a situation with real weight behind it. If one woman walks out of Slammiversary with both titles, the implications for WWE and TNAs womens divisions could be huge.
Are you into this TNA/WWE crossover angle, or is it starting to feel like brand confusion? Should Masha Slamovich retain, or is it Jordynne Graces time to make history? Drop your thoughts in the comments and let us know what side youre on.
