Saraya may have built her reputation on being different but even her alternative style had its limits inside the wrestling ring.
During her Rule Breakers Orlando AMA, the AEW star opened up about how her signature look, complete with piercings, quickly turned into a painful liability once she stepped between the ropes.
When asked if she ever got hurt or uncomfortable wrestling with piercings, Saraya didnt hesitate to share the brutal reality.
Saraya explained that when she first broke into the business, her alternative style complete with lip piercings, earrings, and a belly bar was part of her identity. But after repeatedly having them ripped or snagged during matches, she realized it wasnt worth the pain or risk.
These days, Saraya still embraces her edgy look but the piercings stay out when its time to fight.
