Retail Solutions provider, Citrus-Lime, has unveiled a major update to the Back Office of its Cloud POS platform.

The entire back end of Cloud POS has been rebuilt from the ground up to deliver a smoother, faster and more powerful user experience. Every single line of code has been rewritten to create a more efficient, streamlined platform, empowering retailers to spend less time on admin and more time running their businesses.

The update follows an intensive development phase to reimagine the interface and architecture with a view to laying the groundwork for faster rollouts of future enhancements.

This was followed by successful BETA testing with selected customers in the UK and the United States to gather real feedback and make sure it works the way retailers need it to. Following the test phase, Drew Jordan of Andy Jordans Bicycle Warehouse in Georgia commented: The new interface feels very intuitive, modern and much neater. Speaking of the Add Items from Recommendations and Task Pad colour and reordering functions, Brent Johnson of Bike Tech in Cedar Falls, Iowa, added: "That's awesome."

Whether its managing stock, analysing sales or planning for growth, the updated Back Office is designed to feel second nature. Key tasks are significantly quicker. Checking the status of an order and emailing a customer takes 60% less time, while creating Purchase Orders is 70% faster following the upgrade.

Speaking of the project, Suzy Weightman, Head of Software Development at Citrus-Lime, said: This hasnt just been a refresh, its a complete overhaul of the entire platform. The new Back Office delivers speed, clarity and simplicity for a better everyday experience.

Beyond pace and usability, the structural improvements to Back Office make it easier to release new features going forward, ensuring the tools retailers rely on continue to develop alongside their business needs.

Weve focused on eliminating friction in those daily workflows so that retailers can power through tasks more efficiently. This isnt about changing how our customers work, its about making the systems they rely on work better for them, continued Suzy.

As a technology company, we always have one eye on the future and this philosophy has been reflected in the architecture of the revised Back Office. We knew we wanted to create something that wouldnt just exceed current user expectations; we wanted to develop software that delivers exceptional performance and has the capacity to scale so that it evolves as retailers needs grow. The new Back Office does exactly that.

The redesigned Back Office builds on Citrus-Limes commitment to independent retail, helping businesses stay competitive in an ever-evolving landscape. With time-saving features, a future-ready infrastructure and real-world feedback guiding development, the new Back Office of Cloud POS is a leap forward for retailers who want to do more, faster.
