John Cena is officially counting down the days until his wrestling career comes to an endand this time, he swears its not going to be like those celebrity retirements that never actually stick.
The WWE icon confirmed during an appearance on This Morning that 2025 will be his final year as an active pro wrestler, with his last match scheduled for December.
Cena, who is currently WWE Champion and set to defend the title against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam next month, didnt dodge the tough questions about whether this retirement will be the real deal. When asked if fans can expect him to pull an Elton John and come back after saying goodbye, Cena made his position crystal clear.
Cena admitted the emotions havent hit him yet, but he expects they will after that final match.
With only 15 appearances left, Cena is soaking in every moment, reminding fans that this truly is the final chapter of his in-ring career after over two decades at the top.
