During his interview on This Morning, the WWE legend opened up about his latest film Heads of State, sharing how the project came together and why hes happy to stick to movies instead of politics. Cena stars alongside longtime friend Idris Elba in the action-comedy, which he says is really more of a buddy film at its core.
The film took Cena and Elba all over the world, and Cena joked that they had plenty of fun along the way.
Despite the big title and political backdrop, Cena says Heads of State is really a throwback to classic buddy comedies.
As for playing the President of the United States? Cena made it clear thats one role hes happy to keep fictional.
Between wrapping up his wrestling career and taking on roles like this, Cena is keeping busybut politics wont be part of the script anytime soon.
