Tony Khan loves talking about AEWs successbut this time, the numbers dont exactly back him up. During his appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, the AEW President proudly claimed that Dynamites audience has been climbing thanks to the companys Max streaming deal. But a closer look at the actual TV ratings shows not so much.

Khan was hyping AEWs recent milestones, including Dynamites 300th episode and Collisions 100th, when he dropped the bold claim.

Eisen chimed in, agreeing that streaming helps boost TV numbers, not hurt them. But when Ringside News dug into the verified data from sources like Programming Insider, it told a very different story. Heres what the actual cable viewership numbers look like for AEW Dynamite so far in 2025:

Advertising

Q1 2025 (JanMar)
Average Viewers: ~622,000
Range: 563,000 679,000

Q2 2025 (AprJun)
Average Viewers: ~618,000
Range: 521,000 736,000

So while Q2 saw a big spike for special episodes like Grand Slam Mexico (736K viewers), the overall average viewership actually dropped by around 4,000 viewers compared to Q1. Not exactly the growth Khan was claiming on national radio.

It gets worse when you consider Q2 also included Dynamites lowest weekly number of the yearjust 521,000 viewers on April 23. In short, AEWs TV audience isnt tankingbut it sure isnt surging either, no matter how much Khan hypes the Max partnership.
