The situation involving a Canadian fan who showed up at Liv Morgans Florida home with a pellet gun is far more disturbing than originally reported. New details from Going Ringside host Scott Johnson have shed light on the twisted mindset behind the incidentand its only raising more questions about how WWE protects its stars.
As previously reported, 41-year-old Shawn Chan from Scarborough, Ontario, traveled from Canada to Florida on May 26, 2025, claiming to U.S. customs that hed be staying at the WWE Performance Center. Instead, he made his way to Liv Morgans private residence.
Surveillance footage captured Chan at Morgans property on May 31 around 5:20 PM, walking around the yard, checking for spare keys, and trying to access the home. At one point, he armed himself with a Sig Sauer MCX .177 air rifle found on the porch, capable of firing metal pellets at 600 feet per second. Chan reportedly sat on Morgans porch for over two hours before leaving a handwritten note among her packages. At first glance, the note appeared bizarre but tame, saying:
But during his Going Ringside podcast, Johnson provided far more unsettling details from the federal charging documents, explaining how the investigation kicked off after Liv Morgans mother discovered the note.
Johnson then read directly from the charging documents, exposing the full content of Chans unhinged message.
Johnson added more excerpts that reveal Chans paranoia and obsession with Morgan and others in WWE.
Investigators believe Chan became fixated on Morgan after convincing himself they had a connection through an online game called FF2 Online. Morgan has denied knowing him at all, reportedly telling authorities:
Chan was arrested on June 3, 2025, in Orange County, Florida. He remains in custody facing serious federal charges. As of now, he does not have legal representation.
