Triple H had plenty to say after WWE Night of Championsand one of the biggest surprises was the praise he had for CM Punk.
Sitting down with Jackie Redmond and Byron Saxton on the post-show panel, Paul Levesque thanked Turki Al-Sheikh and the General Entertainment Authority for hosting the event in Saudi Arabia. But it was his comments about Punk that caught everyones attention. Levesque reflected on how much has changed, admitting he never thought hed see Punk competing in Saudi Arabia for WWE.
But Triple H made it clearpeople change, and Punk has evolved.
The WWE executive went on to praise Punk for how he handled himself during the trip, including his public apology to the people of Saudi Arabia.
With Punks return to WWE already one of the biggest stories of the year, this endorsement from Triple H adds another layer to the ongoing narrative.
