With Cena planning to retire at the end of 2025, this main event is expected to be the last-ever clash between these two longtime rivals.
On Instagram, Cena posted a cryptic photo of the Michael Jordan: The Last Dance graphic, with no caption, keeping in line with his usual approach on the platform. The post speaks for itself, thoughthis is Cenas final run, and tonight is part of that story.
He followed that up with a more direct post on Twitter, sharing a graphic promoting his Undisputed WWE Championship defense against Punk and writing: WWE Undisputed Championship. The Greatest of All Time. The Best in the World. One last dance. Tonight!
The one last dance phrase has followed this feud for weeks, including Cena referencing it during promos, as the two build toward what could be the final chapter of their legendary rivalry.
This comes after CM Punk mocked Cena on SmackDown, bringing back the Doctor of Thuganomics gimmick to take shots at the champ and stir the pot just 24 hours before the event.
WWE Night of Champions takes place tonight from the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The countdown show starts at 11 AM ET, with the main show at 1 PM ET, streaming on Peacock in the U.S. and Netflix internationally.
