The June 27 edition of WWE SmackDown in Saudi Arabia is currently airing internationally, but it wont air in the U.S. until a few hours from now. A massive title change took place during the show and now WWE has come under fire for spoiling the title changing hands.
During Friday Night SmackDown, Giulia defeated Zelina Vega in order to become the new WWE United States Champion. While this was a huge moment for her, WWE didnt actually waste any time and instantly posted her title won on social media.
Unsurprisingly, quite a few people were absolutely enraged that WWE outright spoiled Giulia winning the match hours before the show will air on the USA Network. One fan took to Twitter and blasted WWE for spoiling the result, saying, Thanks for the spoiler d***head.
Another fan took to Twitter and asked WWE why should he watch if WWE already spoiled the result and made it clear it was dumb marketing, saying, Why would I watch it if yall alredy told me the result dumb marketing dumb. Another fan pointed out how WWE didnt even wait for the show to air in the USA, saying, im cryinnnng they arent even waiting for the show to start in the states LMAOOO.
Giulias win is a big deal for her WWE career and a great way to highlight international talent to fans around the world. But WWEs choice to announce the result before the show even aired in the U.S. is obviously a bad move on their part so well have to see if they will avoid it in the future.
How do you feel about WWE posting spoilers before SmackDown airs in the U.S.? Sound off in the comments.
