It looks like Ricochets search for a new faction may finally be overand the way it went down on AEW Collision has fans raising eyebrows. After weeks of teasing that he was scouting talent willing to do whatever it takes, Ricochet may have made his move with the help of some dangerous backup.
On the June 26 episode of Collision, AEW aired footage of AR Fox confronting Ricochet in the parking lot. Fox was clearly frustrated after being left hanging by Ricochet. Come on now, you left me, Fox told him. Ricochet tried to play it off, acting confused by the accusation. What do you mean? Ricochet replied.
But before Fox could say another word, the Gates of Agony blindsided him. They beat him down on the pavement, stomping him out and slamming him against a nearby fence as Ricochet stood there watching.
The two towering members of the Gates of Agony then approached Ricochet, who didnt flinch. Instead, he seemed ready to talk business. Lets talk, Ricochet told them as they walked off together, leaving Fox laid out.
The scene adds fuel to Ricochets recent comments about forming his own factiona group built around toughness and the ability to get the job done, by any means necessary. During a recent interview with K104, Ricochet made it clear he was looking for wrestlers who could meet his standards.
With the Gates of Agony now seemingly aligned with him, Ricochet might finally have the ruthless backup hes been looking for. Whether this new alliance is official or just the start of something bigger remains to be seen.
