It's Tuesday, once again, which means that another episode of "WWE NXT" is on tap.

Tonight's broadcast will be headlined by TNA World Champion Trick Williams defending his title against Josh Briggs. Briggs's tag partner, Yoshiki Inamura, pinned Trick Williams and gave Briggs the "golden opportunity" to challenge for the title. Also, the NXT UK Heritage Cup will be sucked into the D'Angelo Family Civil War, as Tony D'Angelo will face Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo for the vacant cup. Also, Lash Legend, Jordynne Grace, Jaida Parker, and Izzi Dame will compete in an Evolution Eliminator match to determine who will challenge WWE NXT Women's Champion Jacy Jayne at the upcoming, all-women's Evolution event.

"WWE NXT" is set to air at 8 pm ET on The CW.


The show kicks off with promos from all four women in the Evolution Eliminator Match.

TNA World Championship Match: Trick Williams (c) vs. Josh Briggs

Trick evades Briggs to start. Trick locks up, but Briggs dodges a spinning kick. Briggs levels Trick with a shoulder tackle and dominates him in the corner. Trick evades a throw, but Briggs overpowers him. Briggs hits a big jumping lariat for a nearfall.

Trick tries to fight back but Briggs takes him back to the corner and pummels him. Trick hits Briggs in the throat and hangs him up on the top rope. Williams takes Briggs to the mat and cinches in a headlock. Briggs tries to fight out, but Williams keeps him grounded. Williams gets Briggs to his feet, headlock still locked in, and Briggs counters with a Vertical Suplex. Williams dodges a corner attack but a lariat barely fazes Briggs. Briggs hits a back elbow. Trick hits a lariat. Trick drops Briggs with a dropkick. Briggs rolls out of the ring.

At ringside, Williams faces off with Yoshiki Inamura, giving Briggs time to take out Williams. We head to commercial.

Back from commercial, and Briggs is dominating Williams, tossing him around the ring and crushing him with a standing splash. Briggs takes Williams into a corner and delivers a series of blows, but Williams counters desperately and gets a nearfall.

Williams goads Briggs to stand. Williams counters a lariat with a series of strikes. Briggs goes for a Chokeslam, but Williams counters. Briggs counters and hits the Chokeslam. He covers. Williams gets hold of the ropes.

Both men trade blows as they fight to their feet. Briggs hits a Big Boot but Trick comes back with a Question Mark Kick and a series of Superkicks. Briggs comes back with a lariat. Briggs goes to the top rope. Trick dodges the moonsault and hits a Trick Shot for the pinfall.

WINNER AND STILL TNA WORLD CHAMPION: Trick Williams

After the match, Williams gets on the microphone and says he's carrying two brands at the same time, and calls himself the "greatest TNA Champion"before Joe Hendry's music interrupts him. Hendry appears behind Williams and levels him, knocking Trick out of the ring.

Backstage, Tavion continues to plead with Charlie Dempsey about leaving the faction.


Backstage, Myles Borne tells two guys from the Florida Gators how much he loves the team. He's interrupted by Lexis King. Myles ignores him, saying he wants no advice from Lexis King. He calls him "his father's son." The Gators intimidate King into leaving.

Je'Von Evans vs. Tavion Heights (If Tavion Wins, He Can Leave No Quarter Catch Crew)

Tavion immediately gets a waistlock on Evans and starts throwing him around the ring. Heights transitions into a cover for a one count. Heights continues to roll up Evans. Heights hits a Fireman's Carry and covers again for a nearfall.

Heights continues to dominate Evans on the canvas, wrenching limbs. Evans gets to his feet but is unable to slip the hold. Heights continues stretching the tricep. Evans fights out but Heights is back on the attack. Evans rolls him up for a nearfall. Evans hits a big crossbody. Evans hits a springboard headscissors takeover. Heights retreats to ringside. Evans hits a running dive out of the ring. We head to commercial.

Back from commercial, and Evans and Heights trade blows. Heights dodges a forearm and crushes Evans for a nearfall. Evans does his best to slip out of Heights's grip but Heights uses his mask as a weapon, headbutting Evans in the back of the head and hitting a German Suplex for a nearfall. Je'Von keeps trying to get a pinfall to no avail. Evans hits a kick to the face and hits another Superkick. Evans hits a Tornado Body Splash for the pinfall.

WINNER: Je'Von Evans

After the match, Jasper Troy sneaks up on Evans and hits a Black Hole Slam. A video package recaps the D'Angelo Family Civil War.


Ricky Saints vs. Ashante Thee Adonis

Saints storms Adonis during his entrance and immediately begins pummeling him. Saints dodges all of Adonis's offense and keeps up his dominance. Saints hits a ropewalk chop and then tosses Adonis out of the ring. Ricky poses and we head to commercial.

Back from commercial, and Saints is throwing hands at Adonis, but Adonis comes back with a DDT to get momentum back. Adonis hits The Cash Out for a nearfall. Adonis sends Saints into the corner, and then into the corner across the ring. Saints comes back and hits a lariat. Saints hits a series of Atomic Drops. Saints throws Adonis across the ring. Saints hits a Satellite DDT for a nearfall.

Saints counters a series of strikes and levels Adonis with a Spear. Saints hitsRochambeau for the pinfall.

WINNER: Ricky Saints

After the match, Ethan Page appears on the titantron, but his video freezes. Page shows up and attacks Saints.

Back from commercial, Oba Femi makes his entrance with the NXT Title. Femi tells the crowd that all of his challengers have been "footnotes" to his legacy. Femi says that he is getting restless, as there is no competition.

"I need challengers," he exclaims and challenges the locker room to step up. Yoshiki Inamura's music hits, and he makes an entrance. Inamura says he came to NXT to "chase glory." He says that he went home to Japan and realized he missed Josh Briggs, but he also missed NXT. He loves NXT. He loves the culture. He loves the passion of the fans. Inamura says he wants to become NXT Champion, and makes his challenge. Femi says that he understands being a "stranger" like Inamura and accepts the challenge, saying Inamura will "fall, just like everybody else."

As Inamura exits, Jasper Troy attacks Inamura and stares down Femi. Backstage, Izzi Dame asks Tatum Paxley to be in her corner. Tatum accepts, and The Culling seems to welcome her.


Backstage, Trick Williams tells High Ryze that he will "owe them," if they take out Joe Hendry.

WWE NXT Heritage Cup Match: Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo (w/ goons) vs. Tony D'Angelo

They trade blows to start. D'Angelo levels Stacks and dominates him in the corner. Stacks starts to fight back but D'Angelo squashes his momentum, tossing him to and fro. Stacks again tries to fight back but D'Angelo hits an Overhead Belly To Belly Suplex. Stacks gets D'Angelo into the corner and pummels him. D'Angelo hits a Shotgun Kick. The two men trade blows as round 1 winds down.

End of Round 1. 0-0.

Round 2 starts where Round 1 left off, D'Angelo takes down Stacks and pummels him. Stacks retreats to the apron, only for D'Angelo to send him crashing into the announce table. Back in the ring, D'Angelo hits a spear for a pinfall.

End of Round 2. 1-0, D'Angelo.

Back from commercial, and Round 3 is in the final 30 seconds. Lorenzo hits a big move for a nearfall.

End of Round 3. 1-0, D'Angelo.

Stacks comes out of the gate in Round 4 and gets a quick pin on D'Angelo.

End of Round 4, 1-1.

Luca Crusifino comes out to support D'Angelo. Round 4 starts, and Lorenzo gets an Indian Deathlock on D'Angelo. D'Angelo fights out. Tony starts leveling Stacks with lariats and hits a Spinebuster. D'Angelo sends Stacks out of the ring, taking out his many goons. Crusifino squabbles with the goons and accidentally hits D'Angelo with a spit bucket. Stacks hits a knee to the back of the head for the pinfall.

WINNER AND NEW NXT HERITAGE CUP CHAMPION: Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo

Crusifino tries to comfort D'Angelo but D'Angelo knocks him down for his trouble.


Backstage, Ava chastises Ethan Page for his attack. She then sees Hank and Tank having just been attacked backstage. Elsewhere backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews Joe Hendry about his Slammiversary match. Hendry says that Slammiversary will be the moment he gets his revenge against Williams and will be facing Wes Lee next week.
