John Cena began his retirement tour earlier this year with only a limited number of dates. Now that we are halfway through the tour, Cena has admitted that WWE has already made a ton of pivots during the tour already.
While speaking to Collider, John Cena was asked how far in advance WWE plans its storylines. Cena said he didnt want to give away any spoilers for his final year, but he added that it was a great question. Cena talked about his experience in many parts of entertainment like TV, movies, and hosting, but said WWE is the most flexible.
Cena noted that WWE can change a storyline live as things happen. The former Leader of Cenation admitted that during his farewell tour, where 18 of 36 dates are done with, WWE has made a ton of pivots already.
Cena said that as he enters the last six months of his career, there will be even more changes depending on how fans react. He believes the fans will help decide how things go from here.
The WWE Undisputed Champion encouraged anyone who has ever wanted their voice heard to speak up now. Cena is excited for the rest of the journey and thinks its a great time to be a fan. He also praised WWE for being able to plan ahead but still change things quickly when needed, calling that one of their greatest strengths.
This comes after we have already reported that WWE still hasnt finalized the remaining dates for John Cenas retirement tour, so the company constantly pivoting isnt really a big surprise.
Regardless, well have to wait and see how WWE will continue to book his retirement tour in the coming months. Right now, hes set to defend his Undisputed WWE Title against CM Punk at Night of Champions, so fans are definitely excited to see how that will turn out.
