AEW fans finally got a match announcement for this weeks Dynamite, but it came later than usual and people are already speculating why.

Tony Khan jumped on Twitter June 24 to confirm Kota Ibushi vs. Trent Beretta for the June 25 episode of AEW Dynamite. The show goes down from the accesso ShoWare Center in Kent, Washington, right outside Seattle. After speculation about Ibushis return, Khan made it official:

Whats got fans talking isnt just the match its the timing. Normally, AEW rolls out multiple matches for Dynamite well in advance. But this week? Nothing but Ibushi vs. Beretta announced so far. Its raised a lot of eyebrows and fueled speculation that Tony Khan could be holding onto a surprise or two.

Kota Ibushi is no stranger to AEW fans, but this marks his first bout back since stepping up for Kenny Omega in his feud with The Don Callis Family.

Ringside News will have live play-by-play coverage of Dynamite as it all unfolds.

What do you think is AEW planning a shocker this week, or are they keeping the card quiet for a reason? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
