The Night of Champions card just took a hit but WWE isnt leaving fans empty-handed.
During the June 23 episode of WWE RAW, Adam Pearce dropped the news that AJ Styles Intercontinental Title match against Dominik Mysterio at Night of Champions is officially off. Pearce explained that Your Intercontinental Title match with Dominik Mysterio at Night of Champions its not happening, but didnt reveal the full story.
Later that night, WWE confirmed that Dominik Mysterio is injured, forcing him off the June 28 premium live event in Saudi Arabia. But the company wasted no time filling the gap.
First, Rhea Ripley demanded a Street Fight against Raquel Rodriguez after Raquel and Roxanne Perez put Ripley through a table. Pearce granted the request, and now Ripley vs. Raquel is locked in for Night of Champions with no rules and no restrictions.
On top of that, WWE announced that Sami Zayn will go one-on-one with Karrion Kross, adding another personal rivalry to the loaded card.
WWE still hasnt said exactly when Dominik Mysterio will be cleared to defend the Intercontinental Title, but AJ Styles was promised the next shot once Dominik is healthy.
