Mayu Iwatanis run in Marigold has hit a painful roadblock. The former STARDOM star revealed on social media that she suffered a broken rib, explaining that she had to seek hospital treatment after dealing with intense pain following her latest match.
Iwatani last competed on June 21 as part of Marigolds Anniversary Tour, teaming up in a tag match. It wasnt until after the show that she realized something was seriously wrong. In her social media post, Iwatani shared:
The injury has stalled her momentum after making the switch to Marigold earlier this year. With the new promotion working to build its roster, Iwatanis absence comes at a tough time both for her and the company.
