WrestleMania might no longer be a once-a-year spectacleWWE is reportedly considering running two WrestleManias annually, with Saudi Arabia set to play a major role in those plans.

During a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that WWEs long-term deal with Saudi Arabia could include branding one of the major events there as WrestleMania. It wouldnt replace the traditional U.S.-based WrestleMania, but could result in multiple shows carrying the WrestleMania name each year.

Meltzer first hinted at the plan while discussing the scope of WWEs Saudi partnership:

Bryan Alvarez immediately questioned the wording: Whyd you put that in quotes? Meltzer clarified the situation, suggesting WWE may brand a Saudi event similarly to how they promoted The Greatest Royal Rumble in the past.

Alvarez pressed further, asking if that means there could be a Saudi WrestleMania and the usual WrestleMania in the United States.

According to Meltzer, the motivation behind the move is simple: WWE could ease public backlash about the Saudi deal while raking in massive revenue by attaching the WrestleMania name to the show.

The driving force behind the entire situation? Money.

If WWE really does pull the trigger on multiple WrestleManias a year, its going to change the entire landscape of how the biggest show in wrestling is viewed. Some fans will love the idea of more spectacle, more pyro, more main events. Others will say it kills the magic. Either way, it looks like the money is talkingand WWE is listening.
