Mercedes Mon has made it officialshes dating The Beast Mortos. The AEW TBS Champion confirmed the relationship after Ringside News first reported on the viral Instagram story that sparked the rumors earlier this week.
TMZ later followed up and confirmed the story directly with Mon herself. Speaking to the outlet, she described the romance as a real beauty and the beast situation.
Speculation began when Mortos posted a photo of himself alongside Mon to his Instagram story. While his face was covered, Mon was seen smiling in the picture. The caption was what really turned heads: In your arms I find peace.
To make things even more suggestive, Mortos paired the image with the song El amor de su vida by Grupo Firme and Grupo Fronteratranslated as The love of his life.
Fans who had noticed Mon speaking positively about Mortos in recent weeks quickly began connecting the dots. The confirmation comes nearly a year after Mon filed for divorce from her ex-husband, Sarath Ton, following eight years of marriage. She had previously revealed that the two had been separated since December 2020 but maintained there were no hard feelings.
Since leaving WWE, Mon has thrived in AEW. Shes the reigning TBS Champion and also holds the RevPro Undisputed British Womens Championship and the EWA Womens Championship. Now shes adding a new chapter to her personal life as well.
Mortos, meanwhile, isnt just known for his masked persona. Hes a former veterinarian and nurse, and in just four months, hell officially become a lawyer. Safe to say she likes a masked man and likely whats underneath it, too, TMZ added in their report.
Mercedes Mon continues to level up inside and outside the ringand now shes doing it with someone by her side.
