Damage CTRL is officially doneat least for now.

According to internal WWE sources via Fightful Select, the decision to disband the group was made quietly behind the scenes back in early May 2025, right around the time Dakota Kai was released from the company. From that point on, WWE told commentators and on-air talent to stop referring to any of the remaining members as part of the faction.

The writing had been on the wall for awhile. Bayley had already started moving solo, Dakota was gone, Asuka was out with an injury, and Kairi Sane was also sidelined. That left IYO SKY as the only active member still competing under the Damage CTRL banner. But by the time Kairi returned to action, WWE had already moved on.

Even with Asuka back on TV now, sources say there are no current plans to reunite the group. Internally, the stable is considered done, though that doesnt rule out future collaborations between the former members.

WWE isnt shutting the door completelytheres still a chance the Damage CTRL name could return if the right opportunity arises, one source said. But for now, the group is shelved, and its members are charting their own paths.

Damage CTRL had a run that brought chaos, championship gold, and a strong presence in WWEs womens divisionbut the era is over, quietly closed off without a storyline farewell.

Do you think WWE should have given Damage CTRL a proper sendoffor is it better they moved on quietly? Drop your thoughts in the commentswe want to hear what you think.
