Vince Russo claims one of his wildest moments in wrestling came during a TNA segment that wasnt scriptedand almost got him seriously hurt by Ron The Truth Killings.
Speaking on a recent podcast, Russo recalled the time he showed up unannounced during a live TNA segment and physically took down Killings in the ring without warning. According to Russo, the entire thing was real, and Killings had no idea it was coming.
Russo said the entire thing was off the books, and no oneincluding Killingsknew he was in Tennessee for the show.
He explained how he stormed into the ring and forcefully slammed Killings to the mat, all in the name of realism.
After the segment ended, Russo walked out to the parking lot like nothing had happened. Thats when he got an urgent warning from two TNA wrestlers.
Russo didnt hesitate.
Whether it was guts or stupidity, Russos move nearly got him wrecked by one of the most athletic and explosive talents in the industry. Its another example of just how real things can get in a business built on blurring lines.
