WWE made company history on the June 13, 2025 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, delivering a show packed with so many multi-person bouts that it broke a record in the process.
Out of the five matches on the card, four of them were Fatal 4-Way contests as part of the ongoing King and Queen of the Ring tournamentsmarking the most 4-way matches ever held on a single WWE broadcast. The previous record was set at the Fatal 4-Way Premium Live Event in June 2010, which featured three.
That record now belongs to SmackDown. On the mens side of the bracket, Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes each punched their ticket to the next round. Orton defeated Aleister Black, Carmelo Hayes, and LA Knight, while Rhodes picked up the win by pinning Shinsuke Nakamura in a bout that also featured Damian Priest and Andrade.
The womens tournament didnt hold back either. Alexa Bliss secured her spot in the next round by pinning Candice LeRae just moments before Charlotte Flair nearly made Alba Fyre tap to the Figure 8. In another 4-way match, Jade Cargill pinned Piper Niven to advance, surviving a wild encounter that included Michin and Nia Jax.
The stat sheet speaks for itselffour Fatal 4-Way matches in one night. Thats a number WWE has never hit before, and it all played out in one action-heavy episode of SmackDown.
