The June 11th episode of AEW Dynamite: Summer Blockbuster featured Komander being written off TV after a brutal attack by The Hurt Syndicate. This was done to cover for a real injury he suffered. Unfortunately, it appears that the injury is serious and Komander is expected to be out of action for a long time.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez provided an update on Komanders condition, stating that the AEW star is expected to be out for a long time.

Alvarez noted that Komander had his injury examined this week to determine how severe it is. Despite showing up at AEW Dynamite and wanting to compete, doctors did not clear him, indicating the injury is serious. Its still unclear whether he has a torn ligament or a sprained knee, but as of now, he remains medically unfit to compete.

Komander was wrestling this past Sunday in Oaxaca and went for his signature move, a rope walk into a Fosbury Flop. Unfortunately, he slipped in the middle of the move, and Ultimo Guerrero had to react quickly to keep him from getting seriously hurt. This is how Komander was injured during the spot.

Komanders injury is a tough break for both him and AEWs international division. Fans will definitely miss his high-flying style, but his health is the priority. Therefore, well have to see when Komander will make his in-ring return as fans miss him already.
