Nixon Newell was let go by WWE back in November 2024 after several months of absence. Even after her release, she took a long time to really get back to wrestling and now it appears a big reason for that is due to the fact that she was involved in a car accident.

While speaking to Busted Open Radio, Nixon Newell revealed how difficult things have been for her after her WWE departure. Not long after she was let go, she got into a serious car accident, which made her step away from wrestling to focus on her recovery and personal life.

When her 90-day waiting period ended, Nixon Newell went back home and did a few wrestling shows, but things were still hectic and wrestling was no longer her main focus.

That changed recently when she posted a promo on Instagram. The strong reaction from fans reminded her how much she loves wrestling. It was the push she needed to get back on track.

Newell is now working hard to get her name out there again. Shes making promos, doing photo shoots, and promoting herself to rebuild her career. She noted that wrestling has been her life since she was 16. After 14 years in the business, she knows she belongs in it, whether its in the ring, as a coach or in another role.

Regardless, Nixon Newell is now focused on her post-WWE career and she is definitely interested in making her way to AEW. Therefore, well have to wait and see how 2025 will turn out for the former WWE Superstar.
