
The WWE x AAA Worlds Collide crossover event was definitely one of the best shows in recent memory, with a solid card from top to bottom. However, some people claimed that the show was put together at the last moment and now Konnan has shut down these claims.
While speaking on the Keepin it 100 podcast, Konnan was asked whether the WWE x AAA Worlds Collide card was put together at the very last minute, especially after many claimed the card was decided on the day of the event.
Konnan immediately shut down that claim, questioning how posters featuring the matches could be released in advance if the card was made last-minute. He explained that he was involved in the planning process and knew about the finalized card at least three weeks to a month before the promotional materials were made public.
The WWE x AAA Worlds Collide crossover event was headlined by Chad Gable squared off against El Hijo del Vikingo for the AAA Mega Championship. The match surpassed all expectations and it was a huge reason why the show was such a major success.
With crossover events becoming more common in pro wrestling, WWE x AAA: Worlds Collide has set a high standard. Therefore, fans will have to wait and see if the next joint event between WWE and AAA can top it, as theres already a ton of excitement for their next show.
