Ricochet spent several years in WWE and did win some championships, but he never reached the main event level that many fans believed he could. He has now admitted he was frustrated over WWE ignoring his ideas for a heel turn.
While speaking to WFAA, Ricochet was asked if his heel character was something he had pitched in WWE and whether the company just didnt see that direction for him. He explained that while he did try to pitch ideas, it didnt go anywhere because sometimes, no matter how much you push, no one listens and it was frustrating.
Ricochet pointed out that just because a wrestler pitches something doesnt mean it will happen. Many people share creative ideas, but only a few actually get theirs approved. In his case, he wasnt one of those few.
Ricochet added that he accepted his position in the company and understood that everyone has their role. When the time felt right, he simply chose to move on and look for a new opportunity elsewhere.
Ricochet also made it clear that he hopes he never returns to WWE again following his departure last year. Regardless, Ricochet is clearly thriving as a heel in AEW right now and thats what truly matters to him.
