The June 11 edition of AEW Dynamite went down at the Theater of the Clouds at Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. The four-hour Summer Blockbuster event gave the company time to hype an upcoming match as well, which included unveiling a new championship title.
Kenny Omega is set to face Kazuchika Okada at the All In pay-per-view on July 12. That will be a banger of a match, and fans are guaranteed to see a lot of near falls. This week on Dynamite, the two had a segment where they inked a contract for that big match.
During the end of the second hour of the four-hour show, Tony Schiavone invited Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada to the ring for the contract signing. That wasnt all he revealed.
Schiavone had a title belt covered in a cloth, and he announced that the International and Continental Titles will be combined at All In: Texas, and the winner of their match will get the new Unified Championship.
Omega signed on the dotted line, saying that he will give it all to leave it all in the ring. He said that this is one final time against The Rainmaker.
We will have to see who wins when Okada and Omega collide at All In: Texas. In the history of their rivalry, Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada each secured 3 individual victories against each other. They were on the same team in 3 matches which they won.
The AEW All In: Texas event will take place at the Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, and we will have full coverage of the show at Ringside News.
