WWE Evolution is officially backand Jacy Jayne is heading into it with gold around her waist.
During the June 10 episode of WWE NXT, the NXT Womens Champion successfully defended her title against Lainey Reid, putting a decisive stamp on her reign. But the real shock came after the match, when NXT General Manager Ava stepped up with a major announcement.
Standing on the Performance Center platform, Ava revealed that Jaynes next title defense is set for WWE Evolution, live from Atlanta, Georgia, on July 13. NXTs top title will be defended at the all-womens premium live event for the first time since Evolutions original run in 2018.
As for who Jacy will face? Thats still up in the air. Ava revealed that four singles matches will take place in the coming weeks, with the winners advancing to a four-way match. The winner of that bout will go on to challenge Jayne at Evolution.
The road to the all-womens show just got a lot more competitiveand Jaynes grip on the title is already under threat.
